If you didn't already hear, the SDHS Robotics Team, the Midcoast MAINEiacs, did an outstanding job at their UNH competition this weekend, bringing home some great award hardware!

- Finished 18th of 42 teams in the qualifying matches
Selected to be on the #2 seed alliance for the playoffs, and advanced all the way to the final before losing to the #1 seed
- Runner-up for the Industrial Safety award (for the second straight competition)
Earned the Gracious Professionalism award (this is incredibly prestigious in FIRST(tm) Robotics) for help and support given to other teams - these students stepped up and helped a rookie team who had fewer resources, less expertise, and were floundering - our team members helped rebuild and rewire the other team's robot to help them pass inspection, and acted as mentors and caretakers for them throughout the competition, all without prompting from mentors.

Over the course of the weekend, all of them demonstrated incredible perseverance, leadership, problem solving, compassion, collegiality, and focus, all with an unflagging can-do attitude. So if you see them, please congratulate them for all their hard work!
