SDMHS does NaNoWriMo (or, "Anyone can write a novel. Yes, even you!"

November is National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo), where people from all over the country participate in a friendly competition to write a novel in only 30 days. Students at SDMHS are invited to participate in the NaNoWriMo Young Writers’ Program, where they will be working on writing their own novel during November.

NaNoWriMo is a rich and creative experience that will require students to write as frequently as possible. To support this, the month will be full of fun NaNoWriMo events (and lots and lots of writing), including late-night "Write-Ins" student writers (and their chaperones) will take over the library for the night, participating in writing games, plot challenges, workshops and, of course, working on their novels!

There will be informational meetings open to students, and information and permission slips for the Write-Ins will be sent home with interested students. If you have any questions, please email Ms. Capwell.
